IRTE, the Improvisational Repertory Theatre Ensemble, is an award-winning collective of comedy actors and writers who develop, produce and perform a season of original themed improvisational shows, following the basic model of traditional repertory theatre. Back live for the first time since, well, you know!
“My Dad said he was in school with your Dad”
Nannette Deasy, AEA, is the Founder and Artistic Director of IRTE. A dual Irish and American citizen, her parents were born and raised in County Mayo. She is pretty positive that she and John Munnelly are most definitely, most certainly cousins. She uses this completely true and not at all made up family connection to convince John to play at her shows. He has always been kind enough to not let his cuz down.
The Marvelous Mrs McCluskey is about an unfulfilled single parent, Ernestine McCluskey who goes out into the world with her clown nemesis, Pound Foolish, to see what other people are doing. Mrs McCluskey is forced to make a decision.
Songwriter John Munnelly AKA Hattwood Hot Sauce AKA LaughJohnLaugh or whatever he is calling himself these days performs his super sing-along-able original songs.
“your music and singing was beautiful.”
“He [John] brings humor, intelligence and soul to folk music”
“Grin inducing & hilarious”
